Nassau's Mangano trolling for campaign cash again

Nassau CE Edward Mangano is taking his fundraising/golf outing game to a new level — and a new state.

He held a fundraiser in June at four golf courses at Bethpage State Park, followed by a reception at Carlyle on the Green.

The next event is set for December at Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It starts at $1,750 per person, including golf, air fare and lodging at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We won’t bother listing the higher prices for sponsors who want to stand out in a crowd. (But this might be the chance of a lifetime to shell out the big bucks to be a Donald Duck Sponsor, a Mickey Mouse Sponsor or even a Minnie Mouse Sponsor.)

Nassau’s Carlyle on the Green is classy, but not in the same class as Animal Kingdom Lodge.

This from the brochure: “Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an African lodge-style resort amidst a 43-acre wildlife preserve. The Resort offers authentic African-inspired architecture and the kraal African-village landscape design — a semi-circle design popular in Africa which offers expansive views of the surrounding savanna and its many animal inhabitants. Thatched ceilings, large beams, hand-carved golden-tone furnishings, real African artifacts and a vast mud fireplace in the main lobby surround you in the inimitable spirit of Africa.”

No comment from Mangano’s people.
