The chairman of the Nassau County Planning Commission briefly interrupted the panel’s final meeting of the year on Thursday to say a few words to county Legis. Roger Corbin, who lost his bid for another term.
Corbin, a Westbury Democrat awaiting trial on federal tax charges, had stopped by the commission’s meeting and was talking with staffers on the side of the room.
As Corbin turned to leave, Planning Commission chairman Jeffrey Greenfield took note.
“I can remember many a passionate plea on behalf of his constituents by Legislator Corbin,” Greenfield said. “I want to wish you the best of luck Roger in the future, and thank you for fighting for your constituents.”
Corbin waved and was gone.
