Teamsters Local 237 president Greg Floyd is becoming a media presence beyond his usual negotiations and interactions with New York City and other governments in which the union represents employees, including Babylon, Islip, Suffolk County, and a smattering of school districts, villages and libraries.
His public affairs talk show, which is aired on WWRL, has been picked up by Cablevision (which for the record owns Newsday).
The show, "Reaching Out..." will begin airing April 4, and will be scheduled for Wednesdays, at 8:30 p.m., on Ch. 20.
Floyd's interview with U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who is seeking re-election this year, is to be taped today -- and will appear in the show next week.
