in his race against Rep. Steve Israel (D-Huntington), John Gomez, the childhood friend of Fox show host Sean Hannity, has finally won the trifecta of conservative endorsements -- first with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and then with Tea Party darling Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).
And today he picked up the endorsement of Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate on the losing Republcian John McCain ticket in 2008, and former governor of Alaska turned TV show personality on Fox News.
Calling him a "Commonsense Conservative," Palin wrote on her Facebook page:
"John Gomez, a native Long Islander, is running in New York’s 2nd Congressional District. As a successful business owner, John understands how to incentivize job creation to get our economy moving again. He’s dedicated to reining in the reckless spending in DC and returning us to our core principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility. Please join me in supporting John. . . "
