Tom Suozzi: gone, but he won't let people forget

Some of the people attending the inaugural of Edward Mangano as Nassau County executive on Friday got a surprise e-mail about half-way through the ceremony.

It was from Thomas Suozzi, the Democrat who was ousted by Republican Mangano in the November election.

"Together we accomplished," the e-mail began, then went on to repeat the accomplishments he posted on his camaign Web site after the loss in an attempt to show he didn't actually lose, but was just the unfortunate victim of a bad economy and high property taxes.

Several Mangano supporters thought it was bad form on Suozzi's part to butt into the Mangano festivities, which he did not attend.
