US Senate primary foes on LI: Update II

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is due to meet Saturday (not Monday as initially noted) with Latino and African American elected officials in Suffolk.

Assemb. Phil Ramos (D-WFP-Central Islip) has been organizing a caucus of black and Hispanic elected officials from Long Island, and while the structure of the group is now informal, most of its 23 members will be speaking with Gillibrand at the meeting in Bay Shore.

On Monday, Harold Ford Jr., who's been slugging it out with the appointed Democrat in public, is (finally) due to visit Nassau County for a meeting with potential supporters, we're told.

Nassau Legis. Robert Troiano (D-Westbury) is said to have begun working on a meeting with Ford about a week and a half ago, and it is expected to occur in or around Carle Place on Monday.
