Would-be AG Brodsky boasts LI support

Seeking to capture what may be regarded as DA Kathleen Rice's turf, veteran Assemb. Richard Brodsky of Westchester -- a Democrat also vying to succeed Cuomo as attorney general -- rolled out endorsements Friday from Island colleagues Earlene Hooper (D-Hempstead), Marc Alessi (D-Shoreham), Steve Englebright (D-Setauket), Ginny Fields (D-Oakdale), Robert Sweeny (D-Lindenhurst) and Fred Thiele (I-Sag Harbor). They hailed Brodsky's work on mass transit, environment, authorities, LIPA, and property taxes. He's been active in pushing authorities reform for years in his legislative role.
