DEMOCRATIC

BACKGROUND: McCormack, 49, of Jericho, also is running on the Independence and Working Families lines. He graduated from New York University in 1982 and received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1985. He was admitted to the bar in 1986. He was a partner in the law firm of McCormack & McCormack from 1989 to 2005. He also has served as an assistant district attorney in the Nassau County district attorney's office. McCormack was elected as a Nassau County Court judge in 2005. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
