Long Island voters will go to the polls Tuesday in primaries for Democratic nominations for one state Senate and four Assembly seats, as well as several judicial primaries.
In Suffolk County, Democratic primaries are being held in the 3rd State Senate district and in the 6th and 11th state Assembly districts.
In Nassau, Democratic primaries will take place in the 18th and 20th Assembly districts.
There also are Reform Party primaries for Nassau Family Court and Second District Court, and Conservative, Working Families and Independence party primaries for Southampton Town justice.
In addition, Suffolk election officials say there are about 400 contested races for county Conservative Party Committee positions.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters can call the Suffolk Board of Elections at 631-852-4500 or the Nassau Board of Elections at 516-571-2411 to determine if their party has a primary in their area.
