Silver alert issued for Central Islip man, 84, police say

The Suffolk County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Central Islip man with dementia who has a heart condition.

A silver alert was issued for Angel E. Ochoa, 84, of East Locust Street, who was last seen leaving his residence Saturday, April 23, at roughly 2:30 a.m., police said.

Authorities describe Ochoa as Hispanic, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 125 pounds. He is bald and missing his front teeth.

Police said he was last seen wearing a black wool coat, a dark suit, black dress shoes and a fedora.

Detectives believe Ochoa might be in New York City: Anyone with information is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or 911.
