ACTIONS

At its Nov. 10 meeting, the town board:

Approved payment to Breawater Marine Construction for the installation of pilings at Smithtown Marina.

Approved Sole Source for repair to CAT 939 Track Loader, PIN: 09-085.

Authorized the town attorney, or appropriate official, to enter into a stipulation of settlement or agreement and consent to the entry of an order with regard to various tax certiorari matters for various years, per recommendation of the sole assessor and the town attorney.

Approved the adoption of an amendment to Chapter 83 of the Code of the Town of Smithtown as per public hearing held on Oct. 6, 2009.

Approved the adoption of an amendment to Chapter 68 of the Code of the Town of Smithtown as per public hearing held on Oct. 6, 2009.

Authorized Stephanie Hurd, senior environmental analyst, and Richard Kitt, enviromental analyst, Department of Environment and Waterways, to attend Hazardous Materials Incident Response Operations refresher course at Miller Environmental Group, Calverton, Dec. 9 at a total cost of $320.

Authorized the sole assessor, special counsel and/or town attorney's office to enter into a stipulation of settlement and consent to the entry of an order with regard to various Small Claims Assessment Review proceedings for the tax year 2009/10, not to exceed 25 percent, and per the recommendation of the sole assessor and the town attorney.

Authorized the town council to lease a photocopier from Xerox Corp. and further authorized the supervisor to sign an agreement on a form approved by the town attorney.
