At its Jan. 5 meeting, the town board:

Appointed William Valentine as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Town of Smithtown, term of office from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2014.

Appointed Valerie Manzo as attorney to the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Town of Smithtown, term of office from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2011.

Appointed Adrienne Giannadeo as chairwoman of the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Town of Smithtown, term from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2011.

Appointed Robert Rafferty, Elizabeth Eggleton, Danny Hickey and Debra Ettinger as members of the Tenant Selection Advisory Committee, terms of office commencing Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2012.

Appointed Councilman Robert C. Creighton, personnel director Eileen Tropea and senior assistant town attorney Fred Calandrino as

members of the Labor Management Committee for the Town

of Smithtown.

Approved Supervisor Patrick Vecchio's appointments of Sonia Sheikh, Mary Pat Grafstein and

the Rev. E. Edward Robinson as members of the Youth Advisory Board, for the term from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2012.

Approved the designation of

the Smithtown News as the official town newspaper for the Town of Smithtown.

Resolved that a cashier's check for $1,000 (town reciept 46202,

ID 09121800) posted in lieu of a growth-and-life bond for the subdivsion known as Sweetwood 1090, is approved for filing, pursuant to the recommendation of the engineering department. The bond is to be held and bear the expiration date of Oct. 31.
