ACTIONS

At its Jan. 5 meeting, the town board:

Approved the salaries for various appointees and exempt employees of the town.

Adopted the Town of Smithtown 2010 Town Board meeting schedule.

Resolved that a bank check for $375 (town receipt 䘀8, ID ऒ0700) posted in lieu of a growth and life bond for the subdivision known as Olsen Plat ၲ, is approved for filing pursuant to the recommendation of the Engineering Department; bond is to be held and bear the

expiration date of Oct. 31.

Resolved that, pursuant to the recommendation of the Engineering Department, the comptroller is hereby authorized to establish an escrow account in the amount of $600 (town receipt 䘔5, ID ऒ1500) for Regency Homes, Inc., 95 Smithtown Blvd., Smithtown, 11787; money posted to guarantee driveway apron for 43 Mildred Court, Nesconset, 11767, permit #S-127151, SCTM #800-115-2-2.2.

Approved the part-time appointment of Rebekah Corace to the position of recreation leader, at a rate of pay of $16.50 per hour, and the appointment of Irene Zeltmann to assistant recreation leader, at a rate of pay of $10 per hour, in the School Age Child Care Department, salaries are 100 percent reimbursed through fees collected, not to exceed half the normal work week, effective Jan. 6.

Approved the medical leave of absence for Christopher Arendt, scale operator in the municipal services facility, not to exceed three months, effective Jan. 7.

Approved the return from medical leave of absence for David Nahoum, laborer in the highway department, effective Jan. 12.
