73rdELSIE AND HOWARD GILBERTof St. James were wed Nov. 27, 1940, in Washington, D.C. Howard is an Army veteran who served in World War II. He is a retired federal agent for the Internal Revenue Service in Manhattan. Elsie was a homemaker. They have three daughters, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


BEREZOWSKYof Deer Park were wed Nov. 20, 1948, in the Bronx. They celebrated with family and friends at Bella Verde in Deer Park. Arline is a retired teacher from the Elwood school district. Aaron was a production manager in Manhattan's Garment District. They have three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


STOPSKYof Commack were wed Nov. 21, 1953, at the Hopkinson Manor in Brooklyn. They celebrated with family and friends at their daughter's home in Huntington. David is a retired attorney from R.H. Macy & Co. in Manhattan. They have three children and nine grandchildren.

50thEILEEN AND RON ALCUSof Lindenhurst and Cape Coral, Fla., were wed Sept. 28, 1963. They celebrated on a family trip and party in Montauk, hosted by their children. A Caribbean cruise is planned, a gift from their five sons, four daughters-in-law and 11 grandchildren. Ron is retired from HSBC bank in Jericho. Eileen is retired from Western Suffolk BOCES in Dix Hills.

50thKATHY AND BOB OLKOWSKIof Port Jefferson Station were wed Nov. 9, 1963, at St. Joseph's Church in Jamaica, Queens. They celebrated with a trip to Bermuda, where they had honeymooned. The celebration continued at a golden wedding liturgical Mass at Church of Christ the King in Commack and at a party with family and friends. Bob is a greeting card salesman and avid photographer. Kathy is retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Holtsville. They have two daughters, two sons-in-law and one grandson.
