3 hurt during armed robbery in East Patchogue home

Four armed men pistol-whipped one person and injured two others during a robbery in an East Patchogue home early Tuesday, Suffolk County police said.

The men, all armed with handguns, entered the house on Washington Avenue at 3:10 a.m. demanding cash, police said.

The men, who wore ski masks, took an unspecified amount of money and left in a dark-colored vehicle.

No shots were fired, police said, but three of the home's four occupants were injured and taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in East Patchogue, where they were treated and released.

Anyone with information can call the Fifth Squad, 631 854-8552, or Crime Stoppers, 800 220-8477. All calls are kept confidential.
