Amityville man dies after car hits LIRR platform

George T. Seeley III of Amityville lost control of his Dodge Caliber and crashed into the LIRR platform in Deer Park early Saturday morning, MTA police say. Seeley, 45, was taken to Southside Hospital where he died of his injuries. Train service on the Ronkonkoma branch was suspended for a short time and several early morning trains were delayed.
