Antonio Molina, 20, in serious condition after being struck by Jeep in Huntington Station, police say

A 20-year-old Huntington Station man was in serious condition Sunday after being struck by a Jeep Saturday night while walking in the hamlet, police said.

Suffolk County police said Antonio Molina was walking at 10:55 p.m. on New York Avenue, 100 feet north of East 18th Street when he tried to cross the road and was struck by a 2002 Jeep traveling north on New York Avenue.

Molina was taken by Suffolk County police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

The driver of the Jeep, Erin Kelly, 26, of Huntington Station, was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the accident investigation is continuing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call police at 631-854-8252.
