Babylon Town hosted armed forces veterans and supporters Friday in its ninth annual Soldier Ride.

The event, sponsored in partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project, brought together dozens of U.S. military veterans and more than 1,000 cyclists from across Long Island and the metropolitan area for a 25-mile ride from Town Hall to Overlook Beach.

The ride ended with food, entertainment and friendly competitions like a pullup contest.
