A bicyclist was seriously injured when he struck a car in North Bellport late Sunday, Suffolk County police said.

Police did not identify the man, who they say rode his bike into a 1997 Nissan sedan at East Woodside Avenue and Alexan Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m.

The bicyclist was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with serious injuries, the spokeswoman said.

No charges are pending against the driver, a woman, 20, of Medford, who police said was heading west on East Woodside Avenue when her vehicle was struck by a bicyclist, who was traveling north on Alexan Boulevard.
