A North Amityville bicyclist was struck by a car and killed Sunday night on Route 110 in North Amityville, Suffolk County police said.

The Amityville driver who hit the victim stopped and remained at the scene, police said Monday.

Investigators are searching for other drivers who may have hit the bicyclist after the initial accident.

Those drivers left the scene and police are reviewing surveillance video to identify them.

The accident occurred just after 9 p.m. at Route 110 and Jefferson Avenue.

Police said the bicyclist, identified as Patrick Green, 61, was struck by a northbound 1999 Lexus 300 driven by Scott Walley, 50, of Amityville.

Walley was uninjured and was not charged, police said.

Green was taken by the North Amityville Fire Department to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police said Vehicular Crime Unit detectives continue to investigate.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the incident should call detectives at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
