Bicyclist struck, injured in East Hampton

A bicyclist was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when she was struck by a station wagon in East Hampton, police said.

The bicyclist, Kathryn Jones, 58, of New York City, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital by a Suffolk County police helicopter, police said. She was in stable, but critical condition, Saturday night, police said.

The collision occurred at 12:25 p.m. on Three Mile Harbor/Hog Creek Road near Gann Road in Springs, in East Hampton, police said.

A 2006 northbound Subaru station wagon, driven by Antjemaria D. Katcher, 65, of East Hampton, struck Jones, who was also driving north, police said.

Katcher was uninjured, police said. Witnesses are asked to contact the East Hampton Town Police Department at 631-537-7575.
