The fire at the library on Pidgeon Hill Road in South Huntington was reported at 9:10 p.m.

A town fire department spokesman said firefighters from Huntington Manor responded to the scene with two engines and battled the blaze under the direction of First Assistant Chief Mike DePasquale.

No one was injured in the blaze, but spokesman Steve Silverman said the BMW was “a total loss.”
