Redman, of Old South Country Road, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he died a short time later, police said. Leistman, of Old South Country Road, was not injured.

Police said two other pedestrians were out walking at the time of the crash and wanted them to contact the Fifth Squad, which is investigating.
