Child porn found in Army recruiter’s Patchogue home, cops say

A Patchogue man was arrested Friday after police said they found child porn in his home.

Suffolk County police said they searched a River Avenue apartment where Terrence Cole, 46, a U.S. Army recruiter, lived and found a collection of pornographic videos and images.

Computer Crimes Section detectives and the FBI Long Island Exploited Children’s Task Force became interested in Cole while investigating online child porn, police said.

Cole was taken into custody at the Fifth Precinct in Patchogue on Friday morning. He was charged with one count of felony possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Cole was scheduled to be arraigned Friday. Arraignment details were not immediately available and it was unclear whether Cole had an attorney.
