Clee Clemons, subject of Silver Alert, safely returned to Wyandanch home

Suffolk County police said Wednesday a missing Wyandanch man who has Alzheimer's disease and a medical history of seizures has been found and returned safely to his home.

Police had issued a Silver Alert for Clee Clemons, 74, last seen leaving his home at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Just before 11 a.m. Wednesday police said he had been found and safely returned to his residence on Locust Avenue.

The Silver Alert program is designed to inform local media, hospitals and law enforcement agencies when a senior citizen or individual with mental or cognitive disorders is missing.
