An early morning fire ripped through a vacant house in Copiague Thursday, gutting the home and causing most of the structure to collapse, officials said.

Photos from the scene showed the home fully ablaze, with fire leaping from the roof.

The fire at the home on Ferraris Street was reported in a 911 call at 3:54 a.m., Suffolk County police said.

Firefighters from Copiague, North Lindenhurst, Amityville and North Amityville all responded, but couldn’t save the home.

The cause is under investigation. Additional details were not available.
