Cops: Car in crash hits Mount Sinai home

A collision between two cars late Tuesday in Mount Sinai ended with one vehicle crashing into an occupied home, police said.

Suffolk County police said the occupants of the home were not injured in the crash near the intersection of Route 25A and Mt. Sinai Avenue at 10:53 p.m.

The house had minor damage, police said.

Police did not release the identities of the two drivers, other than to say both were females who suffered minor injuries. One driver was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

There were no passengers in either car.

Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Neither driver was charged.
