Cops: Dix Hills man beat dog with baseball bat

Steven Errante, 26, of Dix Hills, was arrested on animal cruelty charges Friday night in Mastic for allegedly beating the family's dog with an aluminum baseball bat six days earlier, Suffolk police said. An investigation found fractures to the dog's head and face, a broken leg and blunt force trauma to her body, police said. Videojournalist: Jim Staubitser (Dec. 28, 2013)
