A 22-year-old Greenlawn woman and her male passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries after an early morning drunken-driving crash in Northport, police said.

The crash occurred at 3:30 a.m. on Woodbine Avenue, Suffolk County police said.

The driver, identified as Danielle Hanna, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where police said she was in serious but stable condition.

Northport Village police charged Hanna with driving while intoxicated, and Suffolk police said Hanna was issued a field appearance ticket to be arraigned at a later date.

Police said the male passenger, identified only as a 23-year-old from Northport, was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition with a head injury.

Police said Hanna was driving southbound on Woodbine when she lost control of the car, which struck a fence and crashed into a tree.

Police said detectives from the newly formed Vehicular Crime Unit are also investigating the accident.
