More than seven months after it happened, police are still looking for a silver Nissan that they said was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Brentwood.

Suffolk County police said the crash occurred at the intersection of Bergen Street and Suffolk Avenue at about 7:10 a.m. on May 11. The crash injured a passenger in the car that was struck, police said.

Police said that person was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of a fractured bone in the upper leg. Additional details were not available.

Police described the hit-and-run vehicle as a silver Nissan Sentra, possibly with a North Carolina license plate, and said it was missing its front bumper.

The driver was male.

The car was last seen headed north on Bergen Street.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
