A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger seriously injured in a crash in Hauppauge Thursday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Robert Wesolowski, 40, of Hauppauge was riding a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle west on Express Drive North at 5:30 a.m. when police said his motorcycle struck a 1994 Nissan Quest traveling north on Lincoln Boulevard.

Wesolowski was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a woman whom police did not identify, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where police said she was listed in serious condition.

The driver of the Nissan, Boanerge Arias, 25, of Central Islip, was not injured but was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said. His wife, Rosa Servellon, who had been a passenger in the Nissan, was taken to Southside Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety inspection.

Police said the investigation is continuing and ask anyone with information about this case to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
