An ice cream truck driver from Queens was arrested Wednesday for sexually molesting a child during a stop in Wyandanch last month, Suffolk police said.

Police said Muhammad Chaudhry, 63, was operating the truck on May 21 when an 11-year-old girl came up to him about 7:25 p.m. While the girl was making a purchase, police said, Chaudhry fondled her. Police said he didn't pull the girl into the truck at any point.

After an investigation by Special Victims Section detectives, Chaudhry was arrested Wednesday afternoon at 26 North 16th St. in Wyandanch.

Chaudhry, of 66-53A 69th Street in Middle Village, Queens, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 5.

Police are looking for possible additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call the Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531.
