Cops investigate at least 16 acts of car vandalism in North Amityville

Police are investigating at least 16 reported incidents of vandalism to vehicles that occurred late Sunday into early Monday in North Amityville.

Suffolk County police said the acts involved the slashing of tires and keying of vehicles on multiple blocks.

Some of the locations hit include The Blvd, Darerka Street and Nathalie Avenue.

Police said they believe the acts of vandalism are linked and said First Precinct officers and Crime Section detectives are conducting the investigation.
