Cops probe Patchogue bank robbery

Suffolk police are investigating the robbery of a TD Bank branch in Patchogue Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a man entered the bank at 251 E. Main St., just after 12:30 p.m. and showed a bank teller a note demanding cash. The teller gave an unspecified amount of cash to the man, who then fled the bank on foot, police said.

The man is described as in his mid-20s to early 30s, with a thin to medium build and a dark-colored goatee. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, clear eyeglasses and a black cloth covering his head, police said.
