Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are looking for two men who lifted more than $2,000 worth of jewelry from a Middle Island Walmart.

On Monday, police released photographs of the men, taken from video surveillance at the store at 750 Middle Country Rd.

The men took the jewelry from the store on May 15, police said.

The photos show a man and woman entering the store; the man in the photo cut glass on a display, police said.

A short time later, the second man -- wearing a red baseball cap -- removed jewelry from the display.

In a crime alert issued Monday, police did not accuse the woman of any wrongdoing.

Police said the jewelry was valued at about $2,300.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
