After an investigation, police found "no dangerous devices, just clothing" in a backpack that had led to the evacuation of the Walmart store in Islandia, Suffolk County Police said Tuesday evening.

The store was evacuated after a 1:42 p.m. call reporting a suspicious package, police said.

But by 4:30 p.m., the package was deemed safe and the store was reopened.
