DOT: Route 110 reopens after low-hanging traffic lights

Route 110 was closed for more than four hours Wednesday in East Farmingdale because of low-hanging traffic lights, the state Department of Transportation said.
Suffolk County police said they got a report of a traffic light malfunction at 8:30 a.m. at Melville Road.
The road was closed at that time and was reopened as of 1 p.m., the DOT said.
