An exit ramp on the eastbound Southern State Parkway on the border of East Farmingdale and North Amityville will be closed for three nights, beginning Wednesday, the state Department of Transportation said.
Exit 33, which directs traffic to eastbound Route 109, will be closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Saturday morning as part of a $1.8 million resurfacing project, the state agency said.
On eastbound Route 109 one of two travel lanes will remain open in the vicinity of the ramp reconstruction; westbound Route 109 will be fully open. In addition, on New Highway one of two southbound lanes will remain open to motorists, according to a news release.
The project includes restructuring the eastbound parkway exit ramp and also resurfacing of a small portion of Route 109, the agency said.
All repairs and closures are weather-permitting, the agency said.
