A Farmingville man was seriously injured when his car collided with a sport utility vehicle Monday night on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Joseph Hallick, 18, had to be extricated from his car, a 1996 Toyota Corolla, and was transported by Ronkonkoma Fire Department Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of head lacerations and a broken femur. His condition was not immediately known.
