Firefighters respond to barn blaze in West Babylon, police say

Amid a blizzard warning, Suffolk County police and area firefighters responded to a fire in West Babylon on Saturday morning.

A police spokeswoman said police received a call about the blaze at 7:45 a.m. A barn in the backyard of a home on 10th Street caught fire, police said.

East Farmingdale Fire Department firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

Photos show the structure burned to the ground, leaving behind charred trash cans and a snowblower.

No one was injured, police said.
