A fire at a home in Holbrook that was undergoing construction work left one person with minor injuries Tuesday, officials said.

The fire at the home on Muriel Street was reported in a 911 call at 6:40 p.m., Suffolk County police said.

Police described the home as “vacant.” Suffolk fire officials said there was construction work at the site, but could not elaborate.

The identity of the person injured was unknown. The extent of any injuries also was unknown.

Officials said firefighters from Holbrook and Bohemia responded to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Arson Squad detectives.
