Suffolk police are looking for a woman who robbed a Holbrook bank Friday, and are investigating a possible link to a bank robbery by a woman in West Babylon on Thursday, the department said.

Police said a woman walked into the Citi Bank at 5801 Sunrise Hwy. about 2:55 p.m. on Friday and showed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied, giving the robber an undetermined amount of money. The suspect then fled on foot east through the parking lot, police said.

The description of the woman -- 5 feet tall with a medium build, 30 to 35 years old, light brown hair and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt -- matches the description police gave after a woman robbed an HSBC Bank in West Babylon on Thursday. The bank robberies also happened in the same fashion, with the female suspect showing a note demanding cash to a teller and then fleeing on foot.

Police said they're investigating whether the same woman robbed both banks.

The investigation is continuing, police said. Detectives ask anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
