Cops: Huntington Station man threatened officers with kitchen knives

A Huntington Station man holding a kitchen knife in each hand threatened two police officers who were called to a house for a domestic incident, Suffolk County police said Thursday.

When Second Precinct officers Joseph Reilly and Michael Lavrovsky arrived at the home on East 20th Street about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, an armed Kevin Jaime ignored their orders to drop the weapons, police said.

Jaime walked toward the officers, who used a stun gun on him, police said.

He was taken to Huntington Hospital, police said.

Jaime, 21, of 1 W. 15th St., was charged with menacing a police officer and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is expected to be arraigned at later date, police said.

Other details were not immediately available.
