Police investigating gunshots in Central Islip

Suffolk police are investigating two separate incidents in which gunshots were fired in Central Islip on Thursday and Friday.

Police said several gunshots were fired at 17 Third Ave. on Thursday about 9:15 p.m.

Then on Friday, shots were fired at an unoccupied vehicle parked in a driveway at 12 BrightSide Ave. around 3:30 a.m., police said.

No one was hurt in either incident, police said. Detectives are investigating whether the two shootings are related.
