Suffolk County police are investigating a single-car crash that seriously injured a woman in Dix Hills on Monday.

Jeydi Ramirez, 18, of North Babylon, was sitting in the backseat of a 1994 Toyota traveling west on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway about 1:15 a.m. when the car went out of control and struck a tree about a quarter mile west of Village Hill Drive, police said.

Ramirez was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for "treatment of serious injuries," police said in a news release. There were no further details on her condition.

The driver, Johnathan Minino-Montilla 23, of Deer Park, and three other passengers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where they were treated and released.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.

Anyone information on the crash can call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
