A Wyandanch man was killed when he was struck by a pickup truck Sunday night at the intersection of Long Island Avenue and Straight Path, Suffolk County police said.

Keith Norman, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County medical examiner's office, police said.

Norman was walking at the Wyandanch intersection at about 8:30 p.m. when the pickup, a 2015 GMC, hit him as it attempted a left turn onto Long Island Avenue, police said.

The driver, Anthony Traina, 32, of Dix Hills, was not injured. His vehicle was impounded for a safety check, and the investigation is continuing, police said.
