A two-vehicle crash closed the eastbound Long Island Expressway for about 45 minutes early Friday on the Lake Ronkonkoma-Holtsville border, Suffolk County police said.

Police said one person was transported to a hospital for treatment after the crash, which occurred between Exit 60 and Exit 61 at about 2 a.m. No one was charged.

Police said a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the high-occupancy vehicle lane was struck by a BMW being driven in the left lane, causing the Jeep to overturn. The Jeep driver was transported for treatment of minor injuries.
