Man dies in single-vehicle crash in Bohemia

A Bohemia man died Friday morning when the sport utility vehicle he was driving went out of control, striking a fence, a parked car and trees outside a home on Lakeland Avenue, Suffolk County police said.

Police identified the victim as Craig Fox, 47.

Police said Fox was driving his 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe on Lakeland Avenue when the vehicle crashed at 4:09 a.m.

The home was not hit.

Fox was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Fifth Squad detectives at 631-854-8552.
