Fatal Mattituck blaze guts apartment, 4 businesses

Southold Town Police are investigating a fast-moving overnight fire that killed a 51-year-old man and destroyed four adjoining businesses. The blaze began shortly after 10:30 p.m. Friday at 12800 Main Rd., near Love Lane, in Mattituck.
