An early-morning gas station fire closed Route 110 in North Amityville for more than an hour Friday, police said.

The fire ravaged a USA station at 616 Rte. 110, Suffolk County police said. The road was closed between Bentley Road and Harrison Avenue.

Police said the closure, which took place between 2:11 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., was due to fire equipment and apparatus.

No one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire was not immediately known - and it is under investigation by the Suffolk County Arson Squad.
